Google has added the Dark mode features on its native apps as a new feature. Though the application like Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Fit was already equipped with these features, other native Google applications were lacking it.
After the update, google mobile applications will be getting a dark mode on both android and iOS devices. Users will be getting this option by the end of this week. Google says that the user could manually toggle between the dark mode and light mode by choosing the option in the app setting if they are using the older version of the operating system.
If the device supports the dark theme, then they could change the mode with the help of pop-up at the end of the screen. Pop-up will notify you as a dark mode is now accessible and asking the user for permission to activate it. Both Android and iOS have rolled out the feature of supporting the dark mode from the system level.
Many tech companies have been rolling out this dark mode feature in their application to reduce battery consumption. Apart from Google, Facebook, and WhatsApp has also come up with these dark mode features this year.
