Data privacy has been the hot debate lately. We are surrounded with the electronic gadgets and been so much close with the internet than ever. Technological giants have been using the datas gathered from their users in the name of personalization for the user.
Collection of these huge amounts of datas from the users has been raising the issues of data privacy and security. How malicious it can get if those data gets into the wrong hand? How the companies are using their user data to manipulate the users?These questions has been on debate lately.
So, slowly technological giants has started to take the steps to address the data privacy issue. Needless to say, Google has been tracking its user data, through its multiple platform be it Youtube, Chrome, location history from Google Maps and other several services which it has been providing.
Google has announced that they would be deleting the data collected from the users after the collected data cross the time frame of 18months. They will be deleting these data in rolling basis. Google has given the option already on last year to their user to delete their collected datas which was not enabled by default. Now the company is to give the users the reminder about the this features about data deletion letting users to handle their own data.
