Security Bug named as “PrintNightmare”, has been discovered in Windows Operating System lately to which Microsoft has tagged it as a critical state security bug. This bug will allow the attackers to inject and install malicious code, script. They can not only view and alter the data of user but also they can create new user account, which will be granting them full user level access.Therefore, it is highly suggested to download the patch sooner.
Microsoft has released the note stating all version of the Window Operating System is vulnerable to this security bug, however the security patch is not available for all the Operating System. Therefore it is strongly advised that if patch is not available for the system then alternative solution would be to disabling the Print Spooler software entirely which will; restrict the user from printing remotely. However, users can connect the device directly to the printer and print.
The bug has been tracked by the Microsoft with the name CVE-2021-34527. While the original proof-of-concept was deleted, however, the original code was easily forked by the computer geeks. Therefore assessing the gravity of the situation Microsoft has issued the emergency patch.
